Our mission is to service the residents of San Mateo County toward improvement of the quality of life of the poor and disadvantaged in accordance with need.  NPNSC also serves the purpose of bringing about a better understanding and communication between different racial, ethnic, religious, age, economic and social groups.

Community Demographics:

19,011 residents, 74% of whom are people of color.  (53%) are Hispanic/Latino, and virtually all of them speak Spanish as their primary language at home.

74% of Old Town residents live at or below HUD-defined low income levels, while 21% - nearly one-quarter - live on extremely low incomes.
