Holiday Program
Sharing Food, Toys and Community Spirit

The Holiday Program is a North Peninsula tradition.  For over 20 years North Peninsula Neighborhood Services Center, Inc. (NPNSC) has sponsored this annual event to bring the holiday spirit to South San Francisco, San Bruno and Brisbane.

Thanks to generous contributions and volunteer help from the community we provide over 400 families with food at Thanksgiving and with food and toys at Christmas.

In October and November low-income families in South San Francisco, San Bruno and Brisbane come to our office at 600 Linden Avenue to sign up to participate.  NPNSC solicits the community for contributions, food and toys and then coordinates the distribution.

We can’t do it alone.  We need your help. 

Holidays 2005 Update

Thank you everyone for your continued support of time, money, toys, food, and space! Every year the Holiday program is a tremendous effort, we have a a lot of help and can use more!  Please call us at 650-583-3373.

Volunteers are getting even more involved in community service by helping with signups, toy and food collection and distribution.  There has been more opportunities for hands-on volunteering than ever before.  Individuals, business workgroups, and friends join together to help distribute food, sponsor a one or more families for Thanksgiving and Christmas, allowing a personal touch to sharing the Christmas spriit.  Several companies and organizations have pitched in, sometime sponsoring as many as twenty familes and making a day of shopping, packaging and delivering holiday surprises directly to their adopted families.

How you can help?

• “Adopt” a family for Christmas
• Encourage co-workers and friends
  to “co-sponsor” one or more families
• Volunteer to distribute food and toys
• Volunteer to pick up food and toys
• Send a contribution.
• Bring food and toys to our office.
• Organize a food and toy drive
